PL1 Lecturer Boilermaker x2 Ref: SEKTVET29/2015 CN Phatudi Campus (Twelve months contract).

PL1 Lecturer Diesel x2 Ref: SEKTVET30/2015 CN Phatudi Campus (Twelve months contract).

PL1 Lecturer Maths x1 Ref: SEKTVET31/2015 CN Phatudi Campus (Twelve months contract).

Requirements:

The candidates should have a relevant REQV 13 qualification.  At least one year relevant teaching experience. Must be registered with SACE. An Assessor and/or Moderator qualification will be an added advantage.

Key Performance Area:

Able to lecture relevant subjects at all levels.  Moderate PoEs of students. Prepare lesson plans. Prepare PoA files. Liaise with Student Support Services. Control class registers. Take part in extra-curricular activities. Assist in registration of students. Assess all assessment tasks.

Skills Centre Manager x1SEKTVET35/2015 Central Office Salary Level 10 (Thirty six months contract).

Requirements:

Appropriate bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. Minimum five years managerial experience. Minimum three years’ experience in implementation, management and administration of skills development and occupational qualifications. Sound knowledge of education will be an added advantage. Excellent business communication and writing skills. Valid driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas:

Plan, direct and implement training and development initiatives for the centre. Research and identify skills development initiatives that would benefit learners and young adults in the community. Prepare and submit quarterly reports to various stakeholders and other projects funders/SETA’s. Manage financial expenditure of the centre, ensure that spending is within budget requirements. Identify and communicate with reputable training providers for efficient service delivery of training. Identify and initiate effectively skills programmes that will motivate and interest learners in their choice of development. Oversee the planning and control of maintenance in the centres buildings, vehicles, equipment and grounds. Develop, plan and maintain effective security controls to ensure the safety of leaners, staff and the property. Develop funding proposals. Facilitate accreditation of workshops/programmes.

Assessor: in Building and Civil Construction: x1 SEKTVET36/2015 Central Office Salary Level 07 (Eight months contract)

Requirements:

Related qualification in Building and Civil Construction NQF Level 3 and above/National Diploma in Civil Engineering, Be in possession of Assessor Certificate from ETDP SETA, In addition the qualified assessor should be registered as a constituent assessor with the relevant SETA and should have a certificate indicating what unit standards and/or qualifications he or she is registered to assess. Assessor must be proficient in the subject matter of the learning area in which they are assessing. He/she should be an expert in his/her field of knowledge with a thorough understanding of the unit standards requirements or qualifications for which he/she is registered to assess.

Key Performance Areas:

Responsible for, and managing the assessment process. Conduct assessment according to the relevant ETQA/SETA principles and policies. Inform the learners about the qualification or unit standard requirements. Support and guide the learner in the collection of evidence. Help the learners plan for the assessment. Inform the learners about the timing of the assessment. Conduct the assessment and give relevant and appropriate feedback. Complete the documentation and recording requirements, and forward the results to the SETA to ensure the candidate is registered on the National Learner Record Data Base (NLRD). Regularly review and update knowledge on the assessment process and implement changes as and when required. Prepare assessment reports.

Project Coordinator x1 Ref: SEKTVET37/2015 Central Office Salary Level 07 (Thirty six months Contract).

Requirements:

National Diploma / Degree in Human Resource Development or equivalent qualification. Qualified Skills Development Facilitator. In-depth knowledge of TVET College Curriculum, Skills Development Act, Labour relations Act, SETA’s and SAQA. At least three years work experience in Learnership and Skills programme, Learnership implementation, Report writing and verbal communication skills. Project budgeting and financial Management Skills, must have a valid driver’s license .Project Management will be an added advantage.

Key Performance Areas:

Coordinate the implementation of Learnership and skills Programmes. Co-ordinate recruitment and selection of learners for Learnership and Skills Programmes, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the learning programmes at training and employment sites, ensure the compliance with both Quality Management System and Skills Development Legislations; ensure the management of human, financial and physical resources, manage training budget for all programmes, assist in developing funding proposals to SETAs and other relevant stakeholders including Business Industries and Government Departments for learning and training.
