Deputy Manager: Information Management Systems x 1 Ref: SEKFET02/2014 Central Office Salary level 09 36 months contract
REQV 13 qualification in Information Technology or equivalent qualification. Four years relevant working experience in the IT industry or in an IT role. Knowledge of different types of information Management Systems. Knowledge of the FET Sector. Must have a valid driver’s license. Advanced computer skills.
Key Performance Areas:
Information Management System: Formulate information management policies and procedures. Administer and monitor IT security and electronic access. Establish systems to safeguard hardware and data. Perform system backups. Network management and maintenance. Maintain the WAN and LAN networks. Provide specifications to the SCM Unit for the purchase of software and hardware. Technical training and Support. Manage the provision of IT training. Monitor the provision of software application support by Network Controllers. Manage the schedule of computer repairs and maintenance, and installations. Unit Management: formulate job profiles for all posts within the Unit. Conduct meetings with internal staff and plan and assign work within the Unit. Manage the Unit’s budget and cash flow. Compile the annual operational plan. Conduct performance appraisals with Unit staff and arrange and monitor individual development.
Asset Management Officer x 1 Ref: SEKFET03 /2014 Central Office Salary Level 7 Permanent
REQV 13 qualification in Accounting/Financial Management or equivalent. 3 years relevant working experience in Assets and Inventory management. Must have a valid driver’s license. Certificate in Asset Management will serve as an added advantage.
Key Performance Areas:
Management of Assets in the College. Receiving, marking, bar-coding and distribution of all College assets to end users. Verification and stocktaking of College assets. Disposal of obsolete assets. Co-ordination of College inventories.
Network Controller x 1 Ref: SEKFET04/2014 CS Barlow Campus Salary Level 6 Permanent
REQV 13 qualification in Information Technology specialising in technical support. 2 years relevant working experience in technical support. Certificates in A+ or N+ from accredited training provider will serve as an added advantage.
Duties: Assessment of Information Technology equipment. Manage servers, monitor network operations and implement new technologies. Answer help desk calls and resolve routine PC or any IT related problems. Install software applications
Senior Lecturer: NCV Electrical Engineering x 1 Ref: SEKFET05/2014 CN Phatudi Campus Post Level 2 Permanent
Requirements: REQV13 qualification in Education or Electrical Engineering with trade test. At least 3 years lecturing experience at an FET College. Assessor and Moderator certificates. Must be registered with SACE and must have computer skills.
Duties: Monitor all lecturers under his/her supervision. Compile test and exam time tables. Moderate POEs and POAs. Lecture and monitor all class activities. Ensure that workshops are equipped and practical work is done and completed on time. Conduct class visits.

Requirements: REQV 13 or equivalent qualification. At least one year relevant experience working experience. Computer literacy, assessor and moderator will be an added advantage
Duties: Lecture all allocated subjects. Set tests, assignments and all other assessments. Invigilate internal and external exam. Mark all students’ activities and tests. Monitor all class activities. Compile lecturer’s POA and ensure all students in your groups have POEs. Assist with registration.
