Project Manager x 1 Ref: SEKTVET09/2015 Central Office SL 10 (College Paid 36 months Contract)

Requirements: Relevant Engineering Degree or four years Degree in technical field/built environment (e.g. B Eng./BSC Eng.). Certificate in Project Management recognised by SACPCMP. Registration with SACPCMP as Candidate Construction Project Manager or eligible for registration within 6 months after appointment. A valid driver’s license. Five years relevant experience in Infrastructure Construction supervision, SCM and CIDB guidelines.

Key Performance Areas: Project Management. Contract Administration and Contract Law. Technical and administrative support. Liaison with Municipalities and Governmental Departments.

Placement Officer x 1 Ref: SEKTVET10/2015 Central Office PL 03 (College Paid 36 months Contract)

Requirements:

An appropriate recognised Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Education/Marketing. Computer literacy. A valid driver’s license. Five years relevant experience in TVET College and Student Support Services. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional attitude. Outgoing, motivated, independent thinker to work closely with ex graduates and prospective employers. Sound knowledge to define problems, collect date, establish facts and draw valid conclusions while providing excellent phone and customer service skills.

Key Performance Areas: Analyse the job market and identify scarce skills. To Link qualifying college students to vacancies in the job market. Develop an electronic data base vacancies. To develop an electronic data base of qualified students. Develop and implement a tracking system for existing and former students. Establish the college as the primary recruitment site for all regional employers to link college students to learner ship opportunities. Develop close working relations with local municipalities, governmental and private organisations. Negotiating employment opportunities with employers and promoting ex-graduates for vacancies. Advising supervisor on areas pertaining to the provision of Employment Services (i.e. Resources, legal and ethical issues). Promoting college services and maintaining a high profile and professional institution image. Involvement and participation in meetings and functions as required. Report to management as required. Other duties as directed.

Senior Lecturer: Engineering Studies x 1 Ref: SEKTVET 11/2015 CN Phatudi Campus PL 2 (College paid 36 months contract)

Requirements: Three (3) years teachers Diploma. Registered with SACE. Must be computer literate. A valid driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas:

Compile period time table. Assist HOD Admin with the application ad appointment of Lecturers. Ensure that lecturers complete contracts-Ordering text books and assessment stationery. Ensure that student marks are captured on the college MIS. Enrol students for exams-Monitor that Education & Training is taking place. Monitor attendance of students and lecturers. Arrange and conduct an error free registration session. Conduct a pre-exam meeting with invigilators. Filling of all question papers and memo’s. Ensure that all students are enrolled correctly according to FEPC. Compile results statistics and submit to Campus Managers and Education & Training. All Distance Education activities. Must be able to lecture Engineering subjects.

Chief Network Controller x 1 Ref: SEKTVET 12/2015 Central Office Salary Level 8 (College paid 36 months contract)

Requirements: An appropriate Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualification at REQV 13 (National Diploma). A minimum of 3 years relevant experience of which 1 year must be at supervisory level. A valid driver’s license. An ability to work under pressure and extended hours is required.

Key Performance Areas:

Monitor and maintain performance of network connections (LAN & WAN). Preforms hardware and software rollout projects (Software installations, upgrades and repairs). Provide first line helpdesk and desktop support. Management of the college MIS. Monitor the IT infrastructure at the campus level.

Senior Admin Clerk x 1 Ref: SEKTVET 13/2015 CS Barlow Campus Salary Level 6 (College paid 36 months contract)

Requirements: National Diploma in Public Admin or equivalent qualification. 2-3 years relevant experience in exam related environment. Valid driver’s license. An ability to work under pressure and extended hours is required. Must be computer literate.

Key Performance Areas:

Responsible for the capturing of ICASA, EXAM and ISAT marks and student attendance. Ensure that submission deadlines are met. Compile monthly reports. Conduct and supervise all registration matters. Supervise sub-ordinates.

Accounting Clerk: Debtors control x1 Ref: SEKTVET14/2015 Central Office Salary Level 5 Permanent (Re-advertisement)

Requirements: A recognised three year qualification in financial management or Accounting. Two years relevant working experience in financial management environment.  A valid driver’s license will serve as an added advantage.

Key performance areas: Collect College fees and any other fees due to the College, receipt and update student records, Prepare and capture refunds, Reconcile petty cash and bank accounts, Ensure that hostel accounts are invoiced and updated regularly, Update campus commitment register, Prepare daily banking schedule in accordance with funds receipted and money banked, Prepare banking as prescribed in the policy, credit student accounts accordingly with funds from bursaries and other donors, print students accounts and issue to student parents and /or guardians, daily filing and record keeping and any other duties assigned.

Exam Clerk x 1 Ref: SEKTVET15/2015 CN Phatudi Campus Salary Level 05 (College paid 36 months Contract)

Requirements: National Diploma in Finance or Public Admin /or Relevant NCV L4. Two years relevant working experience in exam. Computer literate. A valid driver’s license will serve as an added advantage.

Key Performance Areas: Order examination stationery and do stock taking. Capturing students absenteeism and assessments. Issuing of statements of results. Filing of enrolment forms, certificates and statement of results. Assist learners with applications of their statements, certificates and diplomas. Capturing of learners during registration. Issuing of internal answer books to seniors. Assist in packing of exam materials in storeroom and dispatch to different marking centres.

Receptionist x 1 Ref: SEKTVET16/2015 Central Office Salary Level 04 (College Paid 12 months Contract) (Re-advertisement)

Requirements: National Diploma in Office Administration, Management Assistant, Business Management or relevant NCV L4 qualification. One year relevant experience, Computer Literate. Knowledge of TVET Sector. Good communication skills. Switchboard operating skills.

Key Performance Area: Control switchboard operations. Make outgoing calls related to official duties for management. Control the fax and photocopy machines. Distribute faxes to the relevant people. Typing, photocopying and binding of documents for management. Request corporate stationery, record and distribute.

Driver/Messenger x 1 Ref: SEKTVET17/2015 CS Barlow Campus Salary Level 4 Permanent (Re-advertisement)

Requirements: Matric/Grade 12 Certificate. Drivers license (Code E –EC) with professional driving permit (Public Drivers Licence). Three years working experience as driver or Messenger and able to operate a tractor. Good reading and interpretation of road maps and navigators. Good communication skills and no criminal record.

Key performance areas:

Drive college vehicles for college authorised trips. Ensure that vehicles are roadworthy and in good condition at all times, move items from one location to another as per instruction, operate, clean the vehicles and park them the secured garages.
